
Senior Federal Rulemaking Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
β’ Utilize strong research, policy analysis, and writing abilities to aid in the creation of federal rulemaking documents, stakeholder and public comment reports, policy papers, and technical background materials.
β’ Draft, revise, and format rulemaking documents for federal agencies while developing or adapting style guides for new agency initiatives.
β’ Offer daily technical guidance to project team members.
β’ Cultivate client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and working towards the development of long-lasting partnerships.
β’ Identify client needs and collaborate with others to explore regulatory support follow-on work or new business opportunities.
β’ Formulate recommendations and prepare reports and presentations.
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Public Policy, Political Science, or a related field.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience in a government agency, professional services firm, or similar setting; **OR**
β’ A Master's degree in Public Policy or a related field, or equivalent (e.g., JD, MPA) along with at least 2 years of relevant work experience in a government agency, professional services firm, or similar setting.
β’ Proven understanding of and experience with the federal rulemaking process (or an equivalent state regulatory process).
β’ **U.S. Citizenship is required due to federal contract obligations.**
β’ **Capacity to obtain and maintain a moderate-level government security clearance.**
