
Senior Ethernet Performance Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Oversee the performance validation, debugging, and characterization of next-generation Ethernet-based networking silicon products within customer environments.
• Construct, configure, and benchmark Ethernet fabrics using RoCEv2 to conduct comprehensive performance evaluations.
• Formulate and implement validation and performance test plans aimed at both internal labs and real-world data center deployment scenarios.
• Examine performance metrics including throughput, latency, congestion, power efficiency, and architectural behavior under various networking workloads.
• Collaborate closely with customers and field teams to replicate, troubleshoot, and enhance performance issues in production settings.
• Develop diagnostic tools and scripts for the collection, analysis, and visualization of performance data.
• Partner with architecture, firmware, and software teams to identify the root causes of performance anomalies and suggest hardware or system-level enhancements.
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in post-silicon validation, performance engineering, or silicon debugging for networking or high-performance computing products.
• In-depth knowledge of networking protocols and technologies, such as Ethernet, PCIe, switching, congestion control, PFC, ECN, and DCQCN.
• Understanding of data center performance standards and benchmarks.
• Proficient in scripting and automation (Python, Shell, etc.).
• Strong problem-solving abilities and excellent cross-functional communication skills.
