Senior ERISA & Benefits Compliance Consultant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +20 more states.

📋 Description

• Establish and maintain productive, trusted relationships with clients across the nation.

• Offer expert guidance on health & welfare benefits compliance.

• Address 25-30 compliance inquiries daily through our helpline (via phone or email), ensuring a consistent response time of 24 hours.

• Develop and deliver webinars, live training sessions, and seminars on a monthly basis.

• Write and publish timely compliance articles bi-weekly.

• Create content for tools and resources related to compliance.

• Monitor legislation, regulations, and guidance to proactively address industry changes.

• Act as an internal subject matter expert and assist in product development.

• Mentor and coach colleagues to enhance team expertise and capacity.

• Collaborate to enhance team workflows, processes, and client-facing deliverables.

• Travel occasionally for client presentations, conferences, or internal team events (approximately 1-2 times per quarter).

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in employee benefits compliance consulting, with mastery-level knowledge of IRS, DOL, and CMS regulations.

• Juris Doctorate (JD) is preferred.

• In-depth understanding of ERISA, COBRA, ACA, §125, MHPAEA, HIPAA, and related regulations.

• Ability to simplify complex federal and state regulatory information into clear written and verbal guidance.

• Strong consulting, analytical, and business acumen.

• Outstanding communication and presentation abilities.

• Proven customer service orientation.

• Capability to manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced environment.

• Familiarity with compliance research tools (e.g., Thomson Reuter’s EBIA Checkpoint Library & Westlaw Advantage).
