Senior Epic Hospital Billing Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Offer analytical assistance that exceeds the standard role of an Epic System Analyst.

• Guide and mentor junior analysts within the department.

• Organize and lead project meetings and presentations for a wide range of audiences, from project teams to senior leadership.

• Oversee and engage in various projects by creating and updating project documentation; managing project scope; modifying schedules as needed; setting daily priorities; ensuring timely and efficient completion of project tasks and milestones; and adhering to appropriate escalation procedures.

• Collaborate on decisions that enhance existing practices or develop innovative solutions (including researching and evaluating new technologies or functionalities).

• Maintain comprehensive project documentation, such as meeting minutes and issue logs. Manage end-user relationships and expectations by creating documentation and communication processes that keep stakeholders informed about project outcomes.

• Effectively communicate with project stakeholders using both formal and informal written communication methods to relay updates and findings.

• Act as a resource for other members of the application team regarding technical and functional application analysis, defining system requirements, and creating logical data models by applying best practices for building, configuring, maintaining, and ensuring data integrity.


⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Science, or a related technical discipline, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

• Five to seven years of experience in systems analysis and implementation within a healthcare environment, demonstrating project leadership capabilities.

• Current Epic Certification(s) in relevant applications as required.

• Current Certification(s) in multiple modules of Epic EMR.

• Proficient in prioritizing tasks, resolving conflicts, and maintaining project plans and issue lists. Skilled in identifying and managing risks to ensure project timelines are met. Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and analytical abilities. A keen interest in developing an expert-level understanding of Epic EMR functionality to improve patient care and the end-user experience across the healthcare system.
