Senior Epic Beaker Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona, +7 more states.

📋 Description

• Delivers operational and laboratory information system (LIS)/application support, along with building and maintenance, specifically for Epic Beaker, Epic orders, and Data Innovations Instrument Manager middleware.

• Facilitates integration with Epic Beaker alongside ancillary applications like point of care (POC) and blood gas systems.

• Completes tasks to achieve customer objectives and desired results.

• Engages in the support, maintenance, construction, testing, and upgrades of Epic Beaker, Data Innovations middleware, and associated interfaces.

• Holds operational expertise in clinical laboratory functions.

• Involved in optimizing laboratory operational workflow processes in collaboration with end-users and business owners.

• Conducts analysis, builds, tests, validates, documents, and implements various assignments and projects.

• Converts requirements and concepts into system specifications and configuration needs.

• Collaborates with operational end-users, EIS, and support vendors as necessary.

• Guarantees the research and documentation of project requirements, test plans, testing, and validation are thoroughly completed.

• Offers training to team members as required based on testing and troubleshooting documentation, in addition to updating knowledge base articles and policies/procedures.

• Provides on-call support during off-hours.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of four (4) years of experience in testing, building, and implementing Epic Beaker workflows.

• Strongly preferred experience in Data Innovations Instrument Manager build/support, implementation of laboratory applications, and lab-specific upgrade activities.

• Preferred knowledge/experience in clinical laboratory operations workflow, Clinical Pathology, Anatomic Pathology, Point of Care, and Blood Gas.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

• Effectively resolves problems and provides sound recommendations.

• High School Diploma/GED is required.

• A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Healthcare, or a related field is preferred.

• Epic Beaker Certification is required (AP and/or CP preferred).
