This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.
β’ Oversee all operational elements of new customer launches, including both temporary and permanent personnel, until the location has sufficient trained staff to support operations.
β’ Provide training to permanent employees regarding WM and customer duties and expectations.
β’ Manage, assess, and monitor daily responsibilities and activities of personnel. Coordinate team assignments, roles, and responsibilities to ensure work is completed efficiently and in compliance.
β’ Foster a safety-centric culture by ensuring site personnel are thoroughly trained to perform their duties and adhere to safety, environmental, federal, state, and local regulations. Ensure all team members maintain current certifications and training.
β’ Organize logistics for the transportation of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste from the client site, which includes profiling, scheduling, manifesting, and physically loading bulk and drum loads.
β’ Collaborate with clients to identify, design, and implement cost-saving initiatives and proposals.
β’ Ensure adherence to Waste Management client and governmental regulations by reviewing necessary inspections and reporting. Identify potential risks and develop and execute corrective actions. Address all issues promptly.
β’ Analyze and understand client and vendor financial obligations, including invoicing, reporting, and contracts. Implement changes and processes to maintain contractual compliance while optimizing EBIT.
β’ May occasionally need to engage in labor-intensive tasks (e.g., drum collection and bulking).
β’ Provide direct supervision for 2 or more full-time exempt level employees.
β’ Bachelor's Degree (accredited) in a job-related field, or a High School Diploma or GED (accredited) along with 4 years of relevant work experience in lieu of a degree.
β’ A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required (in addition to educational qualifications).
β’ Possession of a TWIC Card or the ability to obtain one before starting the position.
β’ OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER Certification or the ability to obtain it within 30 days of starting.
β’ Valid Driver's License is required.
β’ Certain customer-contract requirements may necessitate pre-assignment and/or pre-hire drug and/or alcohol testing.
