Senior Environmental Project Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Build and nurture client relationships to secure and manage project scope, timelines, budgets, and deliverables.

• Oversee the execution of permitting, compliance, remediation, construction, technical consultation, planning, design, and construction-phase projects.

• Frequently engage with clients, prospective clients, project stakeholders, regulators, and regulatory agencies.

• Assist in business development through proposal creation, project interviews, and marketing efforts.

• Manage and lead projects utilizing both technical and administrative personnel.

• Direct and execute technical tasks, including potential emergency response initiatives.

• Create site investigation strategies and assess remediation options.

• Examine construction plans, associated documentation, and regulatory submissions.

• Select, coordinate, and oversee subcontractors.

• Conduct cost estimations and oversee project scope, timelines, and budgets.

• Generate reports and liaise with project teams, clients, and regulatory bodies.

• Engage in programs aimed at enhancing delivery systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• 15 to 20+ years of professional experience in an environmental/engineering consulting firm.

• An Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in environmental science or environmental engineering from an accredited institution.

• Experience collaborating with railroad clients.

• A strong commitment to safe work practices is essential.

• Proven experience in scoping, budgeting, and executing complex permitting and compliance projects.

• Knowledge of railroad regulatory programs across northeastern and midwestern states.

• Capability to work independently as well as within large, multidisciplinary teams.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Proven leadership abilities and the capability to mentor and develop project teams.

• OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour and Railway Worker safety training is advantageous.
