This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.
• Lead, develop, and guide a team of engineers, taking charge of hiring, performance management, career development, and team wellbeing.
• Oversee the Console from start to finish — the user interface utilized by customers to manage the platform, which includes observability, user management, and developer-experience features like chunk-size optimization and other cloud-exclusive functionalities.
• Direct the strategy and execution of developer tools in conjunction with the Console, which encompasses the Tiger CLI and MCP integrations.
• Manage billing comprehensively, from the foundational services to the customer-facing experience.
• Set the technical vision across a primarily JavaScript and Go stack, striking a balance between delivery speed, quality, and long-term sustainability.
• Establish engineering practices, standards, and culture for a team that is currently undergoing reorganization and enhancing execution, while contributing to broader organizational transformations.
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and other engineering leaders to translate a roadmap into delivered, polished features.
• Be an enthusiastic and approachable leader who is willing to get involved and write code.
• Over 8 years of engineering experience, including a minimum of 3 years in managing engineers or engineering teams.
• Proven experience in building and leading high-performance full-stack teams that deliver customer-facing products.
• Strong technical proficiency with practical experience in JavaScript and modern frontend technologies, in addition to Go (or similar backend) services.
• Experience in owning intricate, customer-facing domains from start to finish — preferably encompassing billing, observability, user/account management, or developer-experience tooling.
• Demonstrated ability to establish culture, standards, and direction during growth or reorganization phases, and to motivate a team to execute effectively.
• Strong product intuition and the discernment to balance quality, speed, and reliability.
• A passion for creating experiences that developers appreciate, as well as for nurturing the talent that builds them.
• Bonus: experience with CLIs, MCP, or developing tools for technical/developer audiences.
