Senior Engineering Manager, Search

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the team's technical strategy, roadmap, and objectives for both Single and Cross retailer search.

• Propel top-line growth while maintaining a rigorous quality standard.

• Advocate for the integration of LLMs in search functionalities.

• Collaborate with the platform team to architect and implement search solutions.

• Enhance the team's experimentation pace by investing in evaluation, AI-native debugging tools, and ML infrastructure.

• Work closely with Machine Learning, Product, Data Science, Ads, and whitelabel retailer teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of engineering management experience leading high-performing teams.

• At least 10 years of overall engineering experience.

• Proven experience in building or leading search, recommendations, ranking, or other applied machine learning systems.

• Familiarity with contemporary retrieval methods, including neural/semantic retrieval, ANN, and LLM-based query understanding or re-ranking.

• Strong technical expertise in machine learning and large-scale distributed or backend systems.

• History of driving complex, cross-functional technical initiatives from strategy to launch.

• Proven product and business acumen.
