This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead and expand a team of product engineers, facilitating their growth through mentorship, constructive feedback, and clear technical direction.
• Recruit for your team and develop it into multiple groups.
• Drive the implementation of significant product initiatives from conception to launch, striking a balance between speed and high standards of reliability and quality.
• Collaborate closely with Product and Design teams to convert customer needs into insightful technical solutions and product roadmaps.
• Engage thoroughly in technical discussions, steering system design choices and assisting the team in navigating architectural trade-offs.
• Cultivate a culture of ownership, accountability, and ongoing improvement across engineering practices and team processes.
• Assist the team in breaking down intricate problems into incremental milestones that deliver quick value while supporting long-term platform development.
• Ensure teams possess a comprehensive understanding of the developer experience and the customer impact of the features they create.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with product management, clients, and internal teams to grasp needs, align priorities, and guarantee the delivery of impactful features and solutions.
• Over 8 years of experience as an Engineer delivering products and/or features that have a downstream effect on the business and product ecosystem.
• More than 4 years of experience managing personnel and developing engineers, including hiring, mentorship, and performance management.
• Strong technical foundation with the capability to engage deeply in system design, architecture, and engineering trade-offs.
• Product-oriented mindset with experience in translating business objectives and user requirements into engineering roadmaps and delivered features.
• Proven history of successful collaboration with product, marketing, and customer support teams to enhance adoption and retention.
• Ability to balance urgency with careful execution, aiding teams in shipping quickly while ensuring high quality. Capable of transforming ambiguous problems into attainable goals.
• Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across engineering, product, and design.
• A strong sense of ownership and accountability for both team results and long-term system well-being.
• Experience in enhancing engineering velocity through tooling, processes, and team practices.
• Nice-to-haves:
• Experience in developing products for developer platforms, cloud infrastructure, or DevTools.
• Background in working with highly scalable distributed systems or infrastructure platforms.
• Experience in creating products utilized directly by developers or technical users.
