Senior Engineering Manager – Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Lead a skilled team of platform engineers while taking full responsibility for the performance, delivery, and advancement of the engineering foundations that support every product at Traild.

• Oversee the cloud infrastructure and developer platforms that empower our product engineering teams to build, ship, and operate software at scale.

• Influence the team's technical direction, operating model, and long-term strategy.

• Develop and manage a roadmap that links engineering efforts to clear customer and business outcomes, ensuring visibility across the entire team.

• Create and sustain the systems, playbooks, and feedback mechanisms that enable your teams to be fast, reliable, and self-sufficient.

• Mentor, coach, and nurture Engineering Managers and individual contributors, prioritizing equitable growth and high performance.

• Collaborate with Product and Engineering leaders to define, resource, and achieve outcomes across a globally distributed team.

• Strong technical expertise in backend and distributed systems, with the capability to set direction and clarify trade-offs, rather than simply validating engineers' proposals.
