Senior Engineering Manager, Fan Experience

📋 Description

• Mentor and enhance the skills of your engineers through regular one-on-one meetings, clear expectations, and opportunities that challenge their capabilities while advancing their goals.

• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to define roadmap priorities, manage trade-offs, and ensure predictable delivery by assisting your team in breaking work into deliverable increments.

• Establish clear benchmarks for product quality and engineering excellence, and support the team in consistently producing work that meets these standards, irrespective of pace or pressure.

• Recruit and onboard exceptional engineers, maintaining high standards for values alignment, skill compatibility, and AI proficiency as fundamental aspects of their work approach.

• Contribute to the engineering culture and organizational efficiency beyond your team through inter-team initiatives, mentorship of fellow managers, and influencing the operational aspects of our organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 4 years of experience in leading engineering teams and over 6 years in software development, demonstrating a history of managing and nurturing senior engineering talent.

• Possess technical expertise in one or more areas of our technology stack, with sufficient breadth to engage credibly in architectural discussions, uphold consistent standards for quality and reliability, and maintain the trust of senior engineers.

• Strong product instincts, the ability to forge effective working relationships with Product and Design partners, and the capability to align on priorities to drive impactful results.

• Actively pursue your own AI proficiency and assist your team in achieving the same. Maintain high standards for judgment and ownership, regardless of the coding methods utilized.
