
Senior Engineering Manager, Controls Management

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Utah.
• Guide the technical strategy and implementation for Optro’s Controls Management projects.
• Mentor, motivate, and develop a diverse engineering team with a focus on empathy and emotional intelligence.
• Oversee team development through recruitment, retention, mentoring, and the continuous enhancement of individual and team capabilities in best practices.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with Product, QA, Delivery, Design, Customer Support, GTM, and other collaborators to provide exceptional experiences for our users.
• Take ownership of the entire build and delivery process for Controls Management features on Optro’s platform.
• Continuously enhance all dimensions of the product lifecycle, including technical systems and processes, to achieve remarkable results for our customers.
• Collaborate across different engineering teams and product lines.
• Work closely with Product Management to establish goals, objectives, and the roadmap for Controls Management initiatives, ensuring alignment with business priorities.
• Refine and enhance agile best practices to promote clarity, transparency, and efficient delivery within your team and throughout the organization.
• Proven experience in performance management.
• Background in managing agile teams and overseeing delivery processes.
• Over 5 years of experience in developing modern technology stacks.
• At least 2 years of experience managing a development team, particularly in a SaaS context.
• Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks: while Ember is preferred, experience with Vue, React, Angular, etc. is beneficial for front-end collaboration.
• Experience working in a highly regulated ARC (Audit, Risk, and Compliance) environment.
• Experience managing remote or distributed teams.
• Background in an agile development setting and proficiency with modern project management tools.
