Senior Engineering Manager, Billing Systems

📋 Description

• Accountable for the architectural soundness, development, and upkeep of essential financial and billing infrastructure.

• Spearhead the design and execution of highly optimized, scalable billing services primarily utilizing Java.

• Collaborate with Finance, Legal, and Product teams to convert intricate business requirements into technical specifications.

• Own the long-term technical roadmap for billing systems, making thoughtful design trade-offs.

• Ensure compliance of all financial systems with SOX and PCI-DSS regulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 12 years of professional software development experience.

• More than 5 years of experience leading cross-functional architectural projects in high-compliance settings (FinTech, Banking, or E-commerce).

• Extensive background in developing enterprise-grade backend systems using Java and related frameworks.

• Proficient in managing or contributing to environments that utilize Python, Node.js, and in maintaining and migrating legacy VB6 codebases.

• In-depth knowledge of SOX and PCI compliance frameworks in relation to software engineering and data storage.

• Expertise in designing distributed systems, including whiteboarding complex architectures and managing interactions across teams.

• Capacity to utilize data-driven insights for resolving ambiguous challenges in complex financial settings.

• Demonstrated ability to cultivate a culture of continuous learning and promote career advancement.

• Skill in guiding teams through organizational or process changes.

• Proficient in handling complex workloads and dependencies across multi-team projects.
