Senior Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.

📋 Description

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of approximately 25 engineers specializing in threat intelligence, incident response, and detection engineering.

• Establish the technical and strategic framework for how HubSpot identifies, responds to, and learns from security threats.

• Oversee the incident response process from initial detection through to resolution and subsequent review.

• Propel the advancement of threat intelligence capabilities that enhance and refine HubSpot's defensive strategies.

• Ensure adherence to security specifications while collaborating closely with legal and compliance teams.

• Foster strong relationships with InfraSec leadership and the CISO's office, serving as a trusted security partner for the business.

• Play a role in cross-functional hiring, planning, and investment decisions within the larger security organization.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in the field of security.

• Proven engineering management experience at a significant scale (15+ team members).

• A security professional at heart — your career has been built in security (including threat intelligence, incident response, detection, and SOC), with engineering skills developed over time.

• Experience in managing other managers or Technical Leads.

• Extensive knowledge of incident response and threat detection at scale.

• Strong presence across cross-functional teams.

• Resilient and adaptable to changing circumstances.
