Data Engineering Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with product managers, data analysts, and machine learning engineers to create pipelines and ETL tasks that enable the extraction of valuable insights.

• Develop data architecture processes and practices that can be scheduled, automated, replicated, and serve as standards for other teams to utilize.

• Contribute to the data team strategy by partnering with product leaders and managers.

• Engage actively in the execution and some planning of the organizational data team strategy.

• Work together with Doximity’s Data Leadership team to ensure alignment and success throughout the Data Organization.

• Oversee individual Data Engineers to promote learning, growth, and success at Doximity.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the industry as a data engineer or in a similar position.

• Proficient in creating automated testing, applying design patterns, and implementing other engineering best practices.

• Highly skilled in Python and fluent in SQL, with experience in developing maintainable data pipelines using both languages.

• Experience overseeing a team of 3 or more individuals, being responsible for their development and success as both individuals and team members.

• Exceptional communication skills, able to engage both technical and non-technical audiences with clarity.

• Capable of contributing individually while balancing responsibilities between being both a player and a coach.

• Successfully led multiple projects, from conception through planning, execution, and delivery.

• Familiarity with the deployment and monitoring of ML/AI applications.
