• The Role

• This position is a High-Stakes Leadership role. We seek a Senior Engineering Manager who excels at the intersection of technical architecture and aggressive client delivery. You will be responsible for the comprehensive execution of complex digital products, leading cross-functional teams while retaining the technical acumen to make, review, and override decisions—not merely facilitate them.

• This is not a coordination or "people-only" position. You will be the primary individual accountable for the technical integrity, the delivery timeline, and maintaining the client's trust.

• What to Expect in This Role (Responsibilities)

• 1. Engineering Governance & Technical Authority

• Architectural Oversight: Retain sufficient hands-on knowledge to challenge technical proposals, audit architectural decisions, and intervene in the codebase during critical blockages.

• Standards Enforcement: Establish and rigorously uphold engineering standards, code quality practices, and high-performance delivery rhythms.

• Modernization: Propel the adoption of cloud-native, microservices, and API-first architectures without losing sight of implementation details.

• Technical Trade-offs: Make tough, pragmatic choices between technical debt, speed, and scalability, and justify those choices to senior stakeholders.

• 2. Operational & Delivery Excellence

• SDLC Ownership: Take full responsibility for the Software Development Life Cycle across multiple accounts, from meticulous planning to incident response and retrospection.

• Resource & Budget Optimization: Oversee capacity, velocity, and budgets across concurrent workstreams, ensuring maximum efficiency while maintaining quality.

• Risk Mitigation: Proactively identify, highlight, and neutralize technical or delivery risks; you will ensure the client is never caught off guard by delays or technical failures.

• Performance Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop a distributed team (8–15 engineers), spotting underperformance early and cultivating a culture of high-stakes delivery.

• 3. Strategic Client Partnership

• C-Level Interlocutor: Serve as the primary technical liaison for CTOs and VPs of Engineering, gaining trust through technical proficiency and transparent communication.

• Alignment: Convert abstract business objectives into tangible engineering priorities and the other way around.

• Account Growth: Identify technical opportunities within your accounts by comprehending the client's roadmap and proposing impactful technical solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• Technical Foundation: 7+ years in software engineering with a demonstrated history of building scalable systems.

• Leadership Depth: 3+ years as an Engineering Manager or Tech Lead Manager, overseeing distributed teams during high-pressure delivery cycles.

• Stack Expertise: Extensive, hands-on experience with at least one core technology stack: Java, Python, or Node.js (ability to perform in-depth code reviews is essential).

• Architecture: Strong background in Cloud-native, Microservices, and API design.

• Client Management: Experience managing senior-level stakeholders (C-level/VP) in a consulting or digital transformation context.

• Communication: Proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is essential for managing international client relationships.
