Senior Engineering Consultant – Equity, BSA

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee and direct PCA, Equity, and BSA projects, including intricate commercial real estate due diligence tasks.

• Act as the main technical liaison and leader for both regional and national clients.

• Manage intricate client programs and portfolios, encompassing multi-site and national accounts.

• Assess and offer technical advice on roofing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, fire/life safety, and accessibility systems.

• Analyze and interpret technical reports, property documentation, plans, specifications, and evaluations from third parties.

• Create project scopes, proposals, and technical strategies tailored to client requirements, including specific deliverables for Equity and BSA.

• Offer technical insights and communicate property risks, deficiencies, capital requirements, and additional findings to real estate clients.

• Implement ASTM E2018/PCA standards and adhere to industry best practices.

• Guide, mentor, and supervise assessors, architects, engineers, project managers, and subcontractors.

• Enhance business development and client expansion through technical expertise and strong client relationships.

• Perform site visits and provide necessary technical oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 8 years of experience in executing or managing PCA, Equity, and BSA projects; candidates with 5 or more years of highly pertinent experience may be considered.

• Experience extending beyond field assessments into project leadership, technical review, client management, or consulting.

• Proven experience acting as the primary technical contact for clients, preferably with regional or national accounts.

• Proficient in developing project scopes and proposals based on client specifications, ideally involving Equity and BSA deliverables.

• Strong independent knowledge of at least two major building systems, which may include roofing, HVAC, electrical, plumbing, structural, fire/life safety, or accessibility.

• Experience in leading or guiding technical professionals, such as assessors, architects, engineers, project managers, and subcontractors.

• Robust experience in commercial real estate due diligence, PCA, BSA, and technical consulting.

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related technical discipline is preferred.

• Equivalent experience may be accepted for candidates with a solid background in real estate development or technical project management.

• Preferred certifications include PE (Civil, Structural, or Mechanical), RA, ICC Certifications, or CRS credentials.

• Excellent skills in technical writing, client communication, problem-solving, and project management.
