This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.
• Oversee development processes with Tier 1 and Tier 2 vendors throughout all sample stages.
• Evaluate development samples, including sales samples from various countries of origin.
• Execute tasks related to new bottoms, uppers, color-ups, fit approvals, material testing, wear testing, swatch sign-off, and cost approvals.
• Organize the Buy Ready process by SKU.
• Relay product and performance requirements to vendors effectively.
• Address issues concerning construction, performance, costing, and processes.
• Align factory capacity and material procurement with the production calendar.
• Assess tech package details and confirm pattern grading and tooling readiness.
• Validate sample size patterns and molds for salesman samples.
• Aid in the creation of production specifications.
• Suggest and execute ideas for cost-saving, efficiency, automation, and quality enhancements.
• Conduct Tech 2 trials and validate fit and wear testing.
• Present new products and communicate quality risks during tear-down and NPI meetings.
• Offer support as necessary during pre-production and production phases.
• Contribute to VF’s strategic product initiatives and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure production quality, timely performance, and adherence to VF standards.
• Extensive technical understanding of footwear categories and material characteristics.
• Fundamental knowledge of automation and computer stitching for upper pattern construction.
• General familiarity with last making, measurements, and mold/bottom inspections.
• Capacity to integrate technical applications without sacrificing design or cost.
• Ability to identify risks related to product quality and integrity and suggest corrective measures.
• Excellent relationship-building skills with factories and cross-functional teams.
• Experience with branded footwear is mandatory.

• Background in product development, commercialization, pre-production, and production in the footwear sector or related fields within a multinational corporation.
• Proficient command of English and strong communication abilities.
