Senior Engineer, QE

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the testing strategy and coverage for the team's features.

• Serve as a strategic quality partner to the engineering team.

• Create test plans and develop as well as enhance automation frameworks.

• Integrate quality-by-design principles into the workflow.

• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and platform teams to establish test requirements.

• Mentor teams towards sustainable quality practices.

• Define and implement test strategies across UI, API, and service layers.

• Create and sustain automation frameworks and performance testing suites.

• Leverage AI-assisted tools and agentic workflows to expedite testing and debugging processes.

• Lead risk assessments, release validations, and root-cause analyses for critical issues.

• Apply shift-left practices and enforce quality gates within development teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience in software quality engineering roles.

• Extensive expertise in testing TypeScript/JavaScript and modern frontend ecosystems such as React and Webpack.

• Advanced experience with Playwright or similar browser automation frameworks, including Cypress and Selenium WebDriver.

• Strong background in unit and component testing frameworks such as Vitest, Jest, or React Testing Library.

• Demonstrated experience in designing and constructing test automation frameworks from the ground up or significantly enhancing existing ones at scale.

• Comprehensive understanding of CI/CD systems like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Buildkite, and GitLab.

• Practical experience with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude.

• Proficient with Allure or similar test reporting and analytics platforms.

• Familiarity with AI/ML-powered products and associated testing challenges, including non-deterministic outputs, data quality, and model evaluation.

• Experience in the SaaS, fintech, or market intelligence sectors.

• Knowledge of performance and load testing tools such as k6, Lighthouse, and Artillery.

• Familiarity with visual regression testing using Percy, Chromatic, or Playwright visual comparisons.

• Understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud infrastructures such as AWS/GCP.
