This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Define, plan, and oversee the delivery of extensive features and roadmap projects.
• Clarify and enhance requirements among stakeholders in a dynamic environment.
• Navigate unclear requirements and conflicting interests to deliver features that satisfy users.
• Contribute to the long-term architectural vision and system design.
• Lead the technical resolution of complex, cross-team challenges and production problems.
• Continuously enhance the codebase by maintaining high standards for code reviews, architecture, testing, and deployment.
• Ensure that solutions are scalable and maintainable across both frontend and backend systems.
• Serve as the primary expert for debugging, troubleshooting, and ensuring system reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering, product, and business teams to align on priorities and delivery schedules.
• Effectively communicate technical and non-technical ideas across the organization.
• Actively participate in meetings, offering insights that promote clarity and mutual understanding.
• Work in partnership with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure features fulfill user and business requirements.
• Mentor and cultivate junior engineers through coaching, collaborative work, and constructive feedback.
• Advocate for engineering best practices, raising the standards for technical excellence within the team.
• 7–10 years of advancing software engineering experience (leadership experience is essential).
• Extensive understanding of contemporary software development practices and architectures.
• Proven success in scoping, delivering, and enhancing large-scale features.
• Familiarity with both frontend and backend technologies (polyglot mindset is preferred).
• Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum or Kanban) and project delivery.
• Exceptional communication abilities, capable of translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.
• Strategic problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt in rapidly evolving environments.
• A strong passion for mentoring and a dedication to nurturing a culture of excellence.
