Senior Engineer – Frontend / Mobile Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of the frontend and mobile interface for PressW's healthcare scheduling platform redevelopment (codenamed Phoenix), reporting directly to the Principal Engineer.

• Spearhead the identity and access migration phases (0-2): deployment of the IAM platform, implementation of dual-auth middleware, and transition of per-tenant authentication.

• Collaborate with the Principal Engineer on frontend architectural decisions.

• Deliver the frontend in two stages: initially for workers and subsequently for administrators.

• Activate push notifications within the Expo mobile application.

• Develop the component library and design system in partnership with the UX Designer.

• Implement product analytics and session replay features on every new frontend interface.

• Establish quality benchmarks for accessibility, performance, and design integrity.

• Provide mentorship to mid-level engineers and participate in the hiring process.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of frontend engineering experience with a proven record of delivering production mobile applications at a senior level.

• Proficient in React and TypeScript, with required production experience in Expo/React Native.

• Proven ability to launch the same product on web, iOS, and Android platforms while working with a small team.

• Comfortable with Python; the initial ~20 weeks will focus on authentication infrastructure before transitioning to the frontend.

• Must have contributed significant code in the past two years.
