Senior Engineer – Customer Application Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Responsible for acquiring business as customer-facing staff.

• Serve as the technical lead for Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) proposals.

• Evaluate customer specifications and standards in relation to GE Vernova's standard platform.

• Document any clarifications or exceptions to customer specifications.

• Collaborate with the product development team to assess the feasibility of exceptions.

• Create a GE Vernova technical proposal tailored to the customer's specific use case.

• Facilitate the development of dynamic models for grid system simulation studies.

• Oversee the creation and upkeep of technical commercial documentation.

• Assist the Sales team in delivering technical presentations to customers.

• Complete the customer technical fill-in datasheet and respond to customer inquiries.

• Update the tendering team on status and issues encountered.

• Present the technical proposal to the GE Vernova leadership team.

• Ensure a smooth transition of the technical solution to the project execution team.

• Engage in the development of multi-generation product plans.

• Provide mentorship and facilitate knowledge transfer to fellow team members.

• Lead and define activities aimed at process improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field from an accredited institution.

• At least 10 years of experience in a similar technical role involving Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and/or utility-scale Solar inverters.

• Capability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a global team.

• Proven experience with battery and inverter systems within the power industry.

• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to engage with senior leadership confidently and clearly.

• Strong leadership abilities, organizational vision, customer-centric approach, and a talent for building and motivating high-performance teams.

• Experience in cross-functional collaboration with Engineering, Sourcing, Manufacturing, Logistics, Product Management, etc.

• Skill in summarizing and conveying complex technical information effectively.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
