Senior Engineer, AWS/DevOps

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain AWS infrastructure, enhancing scalability, resilience, and cost-effectiveness across various environments.

• Create and manage Infrastructure-as-Code utilizing Terraform, ensuring deployments are modular, reusable, and consistent.

• Design and execute CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab) across application, data, and infrastructure layers.

• Establish and maintain Kubernetes (EKS) workloads, covering deployments, scaling, and production troubleshooting.

• Operate with a diverse array of AWS services, including compute (EC2, ECS, EKS, Lambda), networking (VPCs, subnets, security groups), and event-driven systems (API Gateway, EventBridge, SQS/SNS, Step Functions).

• Oversee and enhance data services such as RDS (PostgreSQL) and ClickHouse.

• Automate infrastructure and environment setups using tools like Packer and Ansible for AMI creation and configuration.

• Implement and enhance observability with CloudWatch, Grafana, Prometheus, and centralized logging tools (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, ELK).

• Collaborate with developers and data engineers to refine deployment workflows, system reliability, and platform usability.

• Apply security best practices across infrastructure, including IAM, KMS, and Secrets Manager.

• Assist in incident response, troubleshooting, and continuous enhancement of production systems.


⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or SRE positions.

• Strong hands-on experience with AWS across compute, networking, and serverless services.

• Proven track record of building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (preferably GitLab).

• Strong proficiency in Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code methodologies.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes in production settings (EKS preferred).

• Solid comprehension of containerization and orchestration principles.

• Experience in implementing monitoring, logging, and alerting in production environments.

• Familiarity with centralized observability platforms (e.g., Splunk, Datadog, ELK, or similar).

• Strong understanding of system reliability, scalability, and production operations.

• Experience with both Linux and Windows environments.

• Hands-on experience creating AMIs using Packer and configuration tools like Ansible.

• Scripting skills in languages such as Bash, Python, or PowerShell.

• Capability to design systems and implement them practically in production environments.

• Strong ownership attitude with the ability to perform within a small, fast-paced team.
