This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Develop, uphold, and ensure the uniform application of technical standards, guidelines, and best practices across various projects and teams.
• Collaborate with nationally distributed project delivery teams to achieve project objectives.
• Implement quality standards and best practices to ensure consistency and reduce risks throughout project lifecycles.
• Establish and nurture strong client relationships while creating customized technical solutions.
• Assist the Practice leader with SMS governance and systems aimed at talent development.
• Support technical training and mentoring initiatives.
• Conduct independent analysis, modeling, and design of environmental engineering systems.
• Generate engineering deliverables, including reports, plans, specifications, drawings, P&IDs, control narratives, and technical memoranda.
• Contribute to business development and lead the execution of high-quality solutions.
• Manage teams delivering services to municipal and private-sector clients.
• Foster talent development and establish as well as enforce technical standards.
• Offer mentorship, guidance, support, and knowledge-sharing to junior team members.
• Carry out additional assignments as per evolving needs.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the relevant technical area.
• Ten years of progressively responsible experience in related thickening, dewatering, and thermal processes is preferred.
• A degree in Engineering, Science, Geology, or a related field with a focus relevant to the technical role.
• Experience in planning, designing, and constructing thickening, dewatering, and/or thermal process projects is preferred.
• Experience as a task lead is preferred.
• Proficiency in designing thickening, dewatering, or thermal process projects and preparing construction documents, including drawings, P&IDs, specifications, control narratives, and technical memoranda.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to deliver effective presentations and prepare comprehensive written reports and documents.
• Excellent problem-solving skills for technical challenges.
• Robust project or task management capabilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Project, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Typically required to achieve certification in BC's Subject Matter Specialist (SMS) Framework.
• A professional license, either obtained or in progress, is preferred.
• Ability to convey technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Capacity to mentor talent associated with the Practice.
