This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Examine architectural drawings, specifications, and submissions for thoroughness, feasibility, and compliance with Government standards.
• Assist in facility condition evaluations by analyzing documentation, pinpointing deficiencies, and composing technical narratives and suggestions.
• Conduct research on architectural codes and standards (such as IBC, NFPA, ADA/ABA, UFC where applicable) and document results for Government review.
• Create and/or assess design alternatives, space planning concepts, and architectural options to facilitate Government assessments.
• Prepare technical contributions for Statements of Work, performance specifications, and evaluation criteria for Government evaluation and endorsement.
• Collaborate with other disciplines (mechanical, electrical, civil, security) to recognize interfaces, conflicts, and integration challenges.
• Develop technical presentations, decision-support matrices, and executive summaries for Government stakeholders.
• Monitor technical issues and actions; assist in the resolution process by documenting options, impacts, and recommended strategies.
• Must possess either a RA or PE certification.
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture or Architectural Engineering (or equivalent relevant experience).
• A minimum of 7 years of progressively responsible experience in architectural design, review, or facilities engineering.
• Experience with Federal facilities projects (planning, design, renovation, or sustainment) is strongly preferred.
• Capability to obtain and maintain DOJ/BOP suitability, background investigation, and facility access as necessary.
