Senior Engineer, Analog Mixed-Signal Design

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Develop analog and mixed-signal circuits that align with architectural requirements and technical specifications.

• Contribute to the establishment of the design architecture and the integration of chips.

• Execute calculations and conduct design and verification simulations to ensure that building blocks comply with specifications at the schematic level and after post-layout extraction, while fully accommodating DFT and DFM.

• Collaborate closely with Layout Engineers to confirm the accuracy of layouts, employing all recognized best practices.

• Document the assigned blocks and conduct preliminary and final design review sessions.

• Actively engage in the chip bring-up, evaluation, and characterization processes, focusing on the blocks under your responsibility.

• Work collaboratively across functions with Product, Characterization, Test, and Application Engineers on matters pertaining to the circuit blocks you oversee.

• Provide support for additional projects as directed by management or as business needs evolve.

⛳️ Requirements

• M.S. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.

• Strong academic credentials with published research projects that have been prototyped and validated in silicon.

• In-depth understanding of CMOS circuits and noise analysis techniques.

• Specialized knowledge in one of the following domains: Integer-N and fractional-N PLL (Sigma-Delta and LC), Sigma-Delta ADCs (preferably > 14 ENOB), Temperature Sensors, Analog and digital filters, Quartz or MEMS Oscillator, Sub-threshold circuits, Low noise regulator and bandgap, High-speed output drivers.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as Matlab, VerilogA, and Oceanscript.

• Capability to supervise circuit layout for critical blocks.

• Proficiency in performing noise analysis.

• Experienced in using Cadence analog design tools.
