
Senior Energy Storage Sales

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.
• Identify, pursue, and cultivate new business opportunities within the Commercial and Industrial (C&I) sector for behind-the-meter Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) projects, both independently and in collaboration with other members of the EPS sales team.
• Develop and maintain a strong sales pipeline, overseeing all stages from lead generation to contract negotiation and deal closure.
• Perform site evaluations and energy audits to assess customer needs, including the analysis of utility bills, load profiles, and demand charges.
• Work in conjunction with internal engineering, project development, and finance teams to create tailored solutions.
• Negotiate contracts, financing options, and commercial terms with corporate decision-makers, facility managers, and sustainability officers.
• Meet or surpass annual sales objectives.
• Participate in industry events, trade shows, and networking functions to represent the company.
• Assist the sales team with BESS opportunities; travel is required.
• A bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Energy Management, or a related discipline is preferred.
• Over 7 years of demonstrated sales experience in BESS, Microgrid, or other Renewable EPC programs.
• Proven track record of meeting or exceeding multi-million-dollar quotas in complex EPC sales cycles.
• Strong comprehension of behind-the-meter applications, including demand charge management, time-of-use optimization, backup power, and microgrid concepts.
• Solid technical and/or financial expertise in BESS technologies, particularly concerning EPC implementation.
• Proficiency in financial modeling (such as Xendee and other modeling software), energy bill analysis, and incentive programs, coupled with collaboration with the finance team on modeling.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation abilities; adept at translating technical concepts into compelling value propositions.
