Senior Electronic Security Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and engineering of electronic security systems.

• Create engineering drawings, calculations, specifications, and comprehensive design packages.

• Assess current security systems and formulate modernization strategies.

• Conduct site surveys and perform technical evaluations.

• Direct the integration of access control, intrusion detection, video surveillance, intercom, visitor management, and alarm systems.

• Ensure adherence to Unified Facilities Criteria (UFC), Department of Defense (DoD), U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), and industry standards.

• Assist in testing, commissioning, acceptance, and turnover processes.

• Provide technical guidance to engineering and installation teams.

• Aid in root cause analysis and system troubleshooting efforts.

• Formulate recommendations for life cycle sustainment.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a Secret Clearance.

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

• At least 10 years of experience in electronic security systems engineering.

• Proven expertise with enterprise access control systems, video surveillance, and intrusion detection solutions.

• Experience in developing engineering design packages.

• Preferred qualifications include a Professional Engineer (PE) license, Certified Protection Professional (CPP) certification, and/or Physical Security Professional (PSP) certification.
