This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Take the lead in developing electrical cost estimates independently throughout all design phases, from conceptual and ROM estimates to final construction documents.
β’ Create comprehensive material and labor estimates for Medium Voltage, Low Voltage, Communications, Audio-Visual, Security, Video Surveillance, and Fire Alarm systems.
β’ Conduct research to establish unit pricing, cost assemblies, and supporting assumptions based on current market data.
β’ Spot missing information, scope gaps, inconsistencies, interdisciplinary conflicts, and potential cost risks.
β’ Formulate assumptions and solutions when project information is lacking.
β’ Oversee estimate reconciliations, technical and quality-control reviews, contractor bid analyses, value engineering assessments, life-cycle analyses, and benefit-cost analyses.
β’ Manage multiple intricate estimating assignments and priorities while meeting deadlines and ensuring accuracy.
β’ Mentor and provide training for developing estimators.
β’ Develop training materials and establish repeatable estimating best practices.
β’ Maintain estimating data, cost assemblies, templates, and reporting standards.
β’ Cultivate client relationships and act as a trusted technical advisor.
β’ Engage in client meetings, project site visits, and industry events as required.
β’ A minimum of 10 years of full-time, hands-on experience in electrical estimating.
β’ Possession of a Journeyman Electrician License, Master Electrician License, an Electrical Engineering degree, or a comparable blend of electrical expertise and experience.
β’ An industry-recognized professional certification, license, or advanced credential such as CCP, CPE, PCSE, CEP, CCE, PE, or another relevant advanced qualification.
β’ Capability to independently create high-quality electrical estimates across Levels 1β5 and all design phases.
β’ Experience in generating conceptual and ROM estimates with limited information available.
β’ Proven track record in leading complex estimating projects across various disciplines.
β’ Ability to meet deadlines while maintaining quality and effectively communicating with clients and stakeholders.
β’ Proficient in interpreting architectural, civil, electrical, and other engineering drawings and specifications.
β’ Expertise in electrical estimating or takeoff software such as IntelliBid, Accubid, On-Screen Takeoff, MII, MCACES, or similar systems.
β’ Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Teams, Outlook, and Word.
β’ Must be a full-time resident of the U.S.
β’ Experience in aviation or airport electrical estimating is highly preferred.
β’ Background in federal government, Department of Defense or military facilities, energy and utilities, transportation and infrastructure, industrial, mission-critical, or similar complex environments is beneficial.
