Senior Electrical Engineer – Supplier REA

📋 Description

• Act as the onsite REA at the supplier: assist with daily operations and troubleshooting (particularly related to factory test issues), oversee production performance, and guarantee timely deliveries.

• Engage in hands-on troubleshooting of RF and mixed-signal CCAs utilizing bench equipment (e.g., VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator, oscilloscope, power meter, phase noise analyzer).

• Analyze test failures: review test data, identify root causes, implement containment measures, and lead corrective actions (RCCA) in collaboration with supplier teams.

• Validate and enhance testing methods: evaluate setups, procedures, calibration/fixtures, repeatability/accuracy, and advocate for design-for-test improvements.

• Maintain configuration control: ensure that build standards, ECNs, and documentation processes between Raytheon and the supplier are accurate and up-to-date.

• Collaborate cross-functionally with Operations, Supply Chain, Quality, and design engineering to swiftly address production, testing, and integration challenges.

• Provide status updates and highlight risks: deliver clear, data-backed reports on yield, defects, cycle time, and recovery actions; escalate issues promptly.

• Represent Raytheon engineering: ensure supplier performance aligns with program cost, schedule, and technical commitments throughout the product lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Physics, Mathematics, or a related STEM discipline along with 5+ years of pertinent experience.

• Practical experience in electronics troubleshooting and/or failure investigation (component-level experience preferred).

• Familiarity with RF and/or mixed-signal circuit design, analysis, production support, or testing.

• Proven experience in managing and driving execution at suppliers or sub-tier suppliers.

• Capability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government Interim Secret clearance prior to start and a Secret clearance thereafter; U.S. citizenship is required.
