This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +2 more states.
• Create relay configurations and establish protection strategies for distribution equipment, including transformers, bus control, circuit breaker control, distribution feeders, and more.
• Assess protection and control design documentation.
• Offer remote assistance to relay test engineers during the implementation of settings.
• Simulate electrical systems using power simulation software such as CAPE, ASPEN, and CYME.
• Generate comprehensive and precise technical reports, correspondence, documentation, and calculations.
• Foster ongoing enhancement of job-related engineering skills, technical abilities, and overall performance.
• Guide and train junior engineers in the principles and theories of power engineering.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, ideally in electrical or computer engineering.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in developing relay settings and protection strategies for transmission, sub-transmission, or distribution equipment.
• At least 2 years of experience in electrical engineering concepts and principles.
