This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.
• Conduct and oversee system studies, which encompass protective device coordination as well as analyses such as short circuit, arc flash, load flows, ampacity, grounding, harmonic, and power quality.
• Design collection systems, focusing on cable routing and sizing.
• Develop equipment specifications and utilize expertise in renewable energy systems, including PV solar modules, inverters, battery energy storage systems (BESS), transformers, cable management systems, and balance-of-system (BOS).
• Compose reports and deliver presentations that outline conducted studies, devised solutions, and the value derived.
• Prepare necessary project documentation.
• Assess, choose, and implement standard procedures and criteria.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, industry standards, trade practices, and jurisdictional safety codes.
• Manage multiple projects of various complexities.
• Facilitate client interactions across multiple projects.
• Participate in project meetings and confidently present specific engineering assignment aspects.
• Assist in the creation of proposals for professional services.
• Delegate tasks to and guide less experienced team members to fulfill assignments.
• Mentor junior engineers.
• Carry out essential responsibilities, including meeting deliverables and deadlines.
• Undertake additional tasks as assigned or directed.
• Bachelor's degree (B.E./B.Tech.) or higher in Electrical Engineering or a closely related discipline.
• Over 3 years of experience in power systems analysis, performing studies such as short circuit, arc flash, load flows, ampacity, grounding, harmonic, and power quality.
• Proficient knowledge of one or more power systems analysis software tools, including ETAP, CDEGS, CYMCAP, PSS/E, PSLF, or similar applications.
• Advanced proficiency in English (approximately IELTS 7.0+, TOEFL iBT 95+, or PTE 76+), with the capability to draft technical reports, lead discussions, and collaborate fluently with teams based in the U.S. and internationally.
• Availability to work a schedule from Monday to Friday, approximately 3 PM to 11 PM IST weekly.
• More than 3 years of demonstrated experience within power distribution, generation, transmission, solar PV systems, or energy storage system environments.
• Experience in utilizing Python or similar programming languages for process automation.
• Familiarity with dynamic models provided by various vendors.
• Strong time management skills to handle multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision, including effective prioritization, organization, and planning to meet all deadlines.
• Capability to identify and resolve complex issues.
