Senior Electrical Engineer – Substation/Physical

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop conceptual designs and implementation strategies.

• Create engineering/project cost estimates and timelines.

• Conduct and document quality assessments for fellow engineers and designers.

• Generate construction drawings, documentation, calculations, and studies for medium and high voltage substation initiatives.

• Oversee the technical execution of power delivery engineering projects or tasks.

• Prepare calculations, studies, and reports for substation and power systems projects that align with internal and client standards and requirements.

• Utilize engineering design principles and methodologies, including relevant formulas.

• Collaborate with small multi-disciplinary project teams (Civil, Structural, P&C, Transmission Line) to successfully execute substation projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in substation physical design.

• Strong understanding of substation physical concepts.

• Experience with high voltage substation design (ranging from 12kV to 500kV).

• Proficient in interpreting and applying standards such as IEEE, IEC, NESC, and client-specific guidelines.

• Familiarity with relay settings is advantageous.

• Knowledge of Protection and Controls is beneficial.

• B.S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Possession of a PE license is mandatory.
