Senior Electrical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ireland.

📋 Description

• Lead the upgrades of Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and transformers, guiding the process from initial site feasibility and supplier evaluation through to grid connection, commissioning, and final handover in collaboration with the Project Manager.

• Create comprehensive AC/DC designs, cable schedules, and tender documentation.

• Serve as the primary technical representative from the feasibility phase with the client to on-site during the commissioning process.

• Assemble complete project tender packages, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), while effectively managing project specifications, budgets, and timelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5 to 7+ years of experience as an Electrical Engineer in the power generation, renewables, or utilities sector.

• An Electrical Craft Certificate is a plus but not mandatory.

• Extensive, hands-on knowledge of BESS integrations, medium-voltage installations, and earthing practices.

• Highly skilled in reading, interpreting, and creating complex electrical schematics and wiring diagrams using AutoCAD.

• A valid full driving license is necessary.

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in electrical engineering are required.

• Proficient in MS Office applications.

• Experienced in using power simulation software (such as PSCAD, etc.).
