This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Overseeing medium-sized and less complex projects during the detailed design and implementation stages.
• Creating RFP/Supplier Selection criteria, electrical control panel phasing plans, Electrical Engineering work plans, and design approval documentation.
• Offering electrical system insights to the Project Engineer in design review meetings to ensure a clear understanding of electrical requirements.
• Assisting the Project Engineer in the transition from Detailed Design to Final Engineering.
• Reviewing and providing Electrical Engineering feedback on the Description of Operation (DOO) and Functional Specification (FSD) documents.
• Organizing project meetings in accordance with project cadence.
• Drafting meeting agendas.
• Distributing meeting minutes to team members.
• Contributing Electrical Engineering insights to the MHS implementation plan.
• Developing an Electrical Engineering work plan to ensure the successful achievement of project milestones.
• Supporting the Project Engineer during the Speeds & Feeds review.
• Leading Controls Layout review meetings with internal teams and clients.
• Aiding the Project Engineer in obtaining design acceptance.
• Guiding and managing support resources during the creation of project deliverables.
• Compiling project status reports.
• Participating in project update meetings.
• Gathering and communicating electrical Assumptions/Decisions/Risk/Actions (ADRA) items.
• Relevant design qualification paired with appropriate industry experience in the electrical design of complex automated material handling systems.
• Experience with conveyor control processes (photoeyes, solenoids, variable frequency drives, line scanners, print and apply applications).
• Familiarity with and ability to collaborate with multiple suppliers.
• Capability to work effectively as part of a team while supporting high performance levels.
• Strong collaboration and communication abilities (both written and verbal).
• Proficiency in using MS Project and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Experience in standard design of relevant material handling equipment applicable to the position.
• Skilled in using E-Plan for electrical design purposes.
• Flexible and approachable in work style.
• Self-motivated individual.
• Excellent interpersonal, organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally to support project needs.
