Senior Electrical Engineer – Power Studies

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.

📋 Description

• Lead and implement sophisticated power system studies, covering aspects such as ampacity, short circuit, grounding, harmonics, and transient analyses.

• Act as a subject matter expert and project manager.

• Ensure project deliverables maintain high standards of accuracy, quality, and innovation.

• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to convert analyses into actionable solutions for grid modernization and renewable energy integration.

• Mentor and develop engineering staff.

• Propel process enhancements and play a key role in strategic initiatives related to power studies.

• Engage in renewable energy and grid projects nationwide.

⛳️ Requirements

• Expertise in power system modeling utilizing software such as ETAP, CYMCAP, WinIGS, CDEGS, EMTP, or PSCAD.

• Solid understanding and practical application of standards including IEEE, ICEA, NFPA, NEC, and ANSI.

• Experience in analytics and programming, preferably using Excel, MathCAD, and Python.

• Possession of a PE license is highly preferred.

• Outstanding communication and leadership abilities.

• A proactive, solutions-oriented approach.
