This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.
• Conduct comprehensive electrical protection and control design, comprising one-line and three-line diagrams, control and relaying schematics, instrumentation and controls diagrams, wiring, SCADA, communications, grounding, equipment selection, specifications, cost estimates, and scheduling.
• Develop computer-based models and execute power system analyses such as short circuit, load flow, relay coordination, arc flash, power factor, and harmonic analysis.
• Perform hand calculations to validate the results of computer-aided studies.
• Establish protective relay, RTU, DFR, and network configurations.
• Generate project documentation, reports, proposals, and studies.
• Offer field support and troubleshooting assistance.
• Review the work of designers, drafters, and field service personnel for quality and precision.
• Implement applicable codes and standards.
• Aid in client communications, interactions, and meetings.
• Execute other assigned responsibilities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology from an accredited institution.
• 1–5 years of applicable engineering or field experience.
• Proficiency and knowledge in electrical design.
• Familiarity with relevant codes and standards.
• Candidates must currently be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and people skills.
• Capability to lift 25 lbs.
• FE or PE certification is advantageous, but not mandatory.
• Experience with IEEE 2030.7 is desirable but not essential.
• Familiarity with NERC PRC interconnection standards is preferred but not a requirement.
• Typical travel requirement: 5–10%.
