Senior Electrical Engineer – BESS/PV

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Execute all aspects of electrical design, studies, and analysis related to Solar PV and BESS projects in collaboration with an internal team and various project stakeholders.

• Model energy production for Solar PV and BESS systems.

• Create construction and equipment specifications.

• Conduct engineering calculations, including NEC maximum system voltage, conductor sizing, overcurrent protection sizing, utility disconnect requirements, voltage drop, and conduit sizing.

• Carry out final reviews and obtain PE approval for electrical designs related to PV and BESS.

• Produce Single Line Diagrams and understand the requirements for utility interconnection application processes.

• Estimate costs and evaluate payback periods for PV and BESS systems.

• Design low to medium voltage power distribution systems.

• Engage in client meetings, including those that may require occasional travel.

⛳️ Requirements

• Possession of a Professional Engineering (PE) license or the capability to secure one within 12 months of employment.

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• A Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is preferred.

• Over 5 years of relevant experience in BESS, EV infrastructure, and PV is preferred.

• Proficiency in power system modeling using ETAP and/or SKM.

• Expertise in AutoCAD is essential.

• Understanding of utility practices, as well as industry codes and standards.
