Senior Electrical Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.

📋 Description

• Analyze one-line diagrams, equipment specifications, electrical calculations, design drawings, and technical studies for utility-scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and inverter-based resource initiatives.

• Assist with engineering tasks related to batteries, power conversion systems, inverters, transformers, switchgear, cables, grounding, protection, controls, and auxiliary power systems.

• Recognize repetitive, manual, or inconsistent engineering processes that can be streamlined through automation or internal software solutions.

• Create and uphold engineering applications, calculation tools, data-validation utilities, dashboards, and workflow automation processes.

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools to enhance software development, testing, documentation, and maintenance efforts.

• Contribute to the formulation of responsible AI practices for engineering workflows, focusing on technical validation, data management, cybersecurity, and human review.

• Deliver essential electrical engineering support for utility-scale BESS and inverter-based resource projects.

• Innovate and enhance engineering workflows through automation, internal software tools, and AI-assisted development.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Over 5 years of engineering experience in power, energy, data center, or industrial infrastructure projects.

• Proficient understanding of power system fundamentals, including one-line diagrams, protection and controls, grounding, arc flash, and interconnection.

• Capacity to verify software-generated engineering outcomes against established calculations.

• Proficient in converting engineering processes into practical Python-based tools and web applications.

• Familiarity with AI-enabled development platforms such as Claude Code, GitHub Copilot, Devin, or comparable technologies.

• Must comply with applicable United States and international export control regulations.
