Electrical Engineer, Project Manager – Smart Grid Software

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Oversee, organize, and implement strategic technical initiatives within the smart-grid industry, from the commissioning stage through to successful go-live.

• Manage relationships with both internal and external stakeholders while coordinating all phases of the project.

• Track timelines, budgets, and quality benchmarks.

• Ensure the seamless integration of Venios.NET into current IT environments.

• Collaborate with development teams, customer specialist divisions, and external service providers.

• Assist in testing and the deployment of new features.

• Recognize project risks and formulate suitable mitigation strategies.

• Determine customer requirements and contribute to the ongoing enhancement of Venios.NET.

⛳️ Requirements

• A completed degree in electrical engineering, computer science, or a related field, with proven expertise in electrical engineering.

• Multiple years of project management experience in software implementation projects, preferably within the energy sector.

• IPMA or a similar project management certification is preferred, or a willingness to pursue one.

• Several years of experience in constructing and managing electrical distribution networks is advantageous.

• Excellent IT skills coupled with a strong inclination towards software development.

• Familiarity with technical guidelines, regulations, and contractual obligations.

• Empathetic and audience-appropriate communication skills, alongside conflict management capabilities.

• A structured, analytical, and goal-driven work ethic with a dedication to continuous improvement.

• Proactive, persistent, solution-oriented, and resilient.

• Strong collaborative spirit and ability to work as part of a team.

• Proficient in English and highly competent in German.

• Must reside in, or have the legal right to work in, Germany or Austria.
