This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
β’ Design commercial electrical power distribution systems, encompassing service entrance, panelboards, feeders, branch circuiting, and equipment connections.
β’ Create interior and exterior lighting layouts while performing photometric calculations.
β’ Generate construction documents using AutoCAD and Revit, which include plans, details, schedules, and one-line diagrams.
β’ Ensure adherence to National Electrical Code (NEC) standards.
β’ Maintain compliance with International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) requirements, covering lighting power density, controls, and documentation.
β’ Coordinate electrical design efforts with mechanical, plumbing, structural, and architectural disciplines.
β’ Provide support for construction administration tasks, including responding to RFIs and reviewing submittals.
β’ Assist in responding to permit review comments and preparing code compliance documentation.
β’ Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and contractors throughout the design process.
β’ At least 2 years of experience in commercial electrical design.
β’ Knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) is essential.
β’ Familiarity with the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) is required.
β’ Proven experience in power distribution design, including service, feeders, panels, and branch circuits.
β’ Demonstrated expertise in lighting layout and photometric calculations.
β’ Proficient in AutoCAD.
β’ Proficient in Revit, particularly in electrical design and MEP workflows.
β’ Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related discipline (or equivalent practical experience).
β’ Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Capability to manage multiple project deadlines in a dynamic environment.
β’ Experience with photometric software (e.g., AGi32, Visual, or similar) is preferred.
β’ Familiarity with utility coordination and service planning is advantageous.
β’ Experience with various commercial building types is preferred.
β’ Exposure to fire alarm system design or life safety code coordination is a plus.
β’ Successful candidates will need to complete employment verification and background checks after accepting an offer.
