This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as the main consultant for various clients, delivering expert-level advice on EHR data structures, reporting capabilities, and industry best practices.
• Facilitate requirements-gathering sessions and convert intricate clinical and departmental workflows into actionable technical specifications.
• Foster strong client relationships, ensuring satisfaction, transparency, and enduring partnerships.
• Design, construct, and enhance complex EHR data extracts, focusing on Epic Clarity/Caboodle or Cerner CCL/HealtheIntent.
• Create and refine SQL queries, data models, and extraction logic to support analytics, reporting, and operational applications.
• Diagnose complex data challenges and work with internal engineering teams to improve data pipelines and performance.
• Oversee validation efforts to guarantee the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of extracted EHR data.
• Perform advanced root-cause analysis on data irregularities and guide clients through remediation strategies.
• Establish and uphold validation frameworks, documentation, and repeatable processes for sustained data quality.
• Collaborate with clinical, operational, and technical stakeholders within client organizations.
• Mentor junior consultants, contribute to internal best practices, and promote continuous improvement within the consulting team.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in an informatics-related position within a healthcare setting (hospital, health system, etc.).
• In-depth knowledge of radiology and procedural workflows.
• Epic experience is highly preferred — including Clarity, Caboodle, Chronicles, Reporting Workbench, or Cogito tools.
• Cerner experience (CCL, Discern, HealtheIntent) will also be considered.
• Advanced SQL proficiency and a solid understanding of relational database architecture and data modeling.
• Familiarity with EHR software, data management systems, and clinical information databases.
• Knowledge of healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, CPT, LOINC) is advantageous.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements concurrently with minimal supervision.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of engaging both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong analytical mindset, keen attention to detail, and dedication to data accuracy.
• Previous consulting experience or experience leading cross-functional projects is highly regarded.
• Bachelor's degree in Data Analytics, Business Intelligence, Health Informatics, or a related field.
