Senior EDW Data Architect – Teradata

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and develop the enterprise data warehouse for a global banking institution

• Create architectural designs for the effective delivery of the enterprise data warehouse

• Analyze source data, data flows, and downstream consumption, including investigations using Teradata SQL

• Develop various design alternatives with clear recommendations, backed by High-Level Designs and Architecture Design Decisions

• Present architectural proposals to architecture boards and governance forums

• Integrate lineage, controls, reconciliation, auditability, and regulatory compliance into the design

• Assist engineering and testing teams throughout the build, testing, and go-live phases

• Conduct detailed data analysis, SQL investigations, and validation of solutions

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience as a Data Architect or a senior Data Engineering Lead with genuine architecture ownership

• Proficient in Teradata within an on-premises enterprise data warehouse environment (SQL, data analysis, issue resolution)

• Familiarity with the Teradata Financial Services Data Model or a similar financial services data model

• Experience in banking or regulatory data, including BCBS239 / RDARR, regulatory reporting, and data traceability

• Experience in ETL delivery using Informatica and/or DataStage; knowledge of metadata-driven ingestion or control frameworks

• Proficiency with Control-M or a similar batch scheduling tool

• Fluent in English at a C1 level (minimum B2)

• Experience with Teradata GCFR or Cloudera is preferred
