Senior Editor, Research – Thought Leadership

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Edit content to ensure clarity, tone, voice, grammar, and style are in alignment.

• Enhance and revise existing content to boost readability, flow, and engagement.

• Proofread for grammar, punctuation, and formatting accuracy.

• Create copy, briefs, abstracts, headlines, summaries, and various short-form promotional materials.

• Collaborate with writers to create thought leadership content and occasionally serve as a ghostwriter.

• Mentor writers and provide constructive feedback.

• Utilize editorial judgment while maintaining AlphaSense’s brand voice, tone, and messaging standards.

• Work alongside marketing, product, sales, design, and other cross-functional teams.

• Incorporate insights and data visualizations into content.

• Stay updated on market, industry, and competitor content trends.

• Optimize content for SEO and provide data-driven recommendations for improvements.

• Support the Research & Thought Leadership editorial calendar.

• Manage style guides, intake processes, and workflow documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 7 years of experience in editing content for an institutional finance audience.

• Outstanding editing and writing capabilities, with a strong grasp of grammar, syntax, and style.

• Ability to simplify complex, technical subjects into engaging content for professional readers.

• Experience in editing for web, email, and social media platforms.

• Strong understanding of financial markets, industries, companies, and investment concepts.

• Competence in researching and interpreting financial data, reports, and market trends.

• Comfortable collaborating with writers, editors, marketers, designers, engineers, and subject matter experts.

• Ability to accept feedback positively and enhance content based on editorial guidance.

• Proficiency in content management systems (CMS), Google Suite, Tableau, and project management tools like Asana.

• Knowledge of SEO principles and best practices in content marketing.

• Experience in data visualization, including the use of charts, graphs, and infographics within written content.
