This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
β’ Act as a recognized authority in economic mobility research, encompassing TANF, workforce/job readiness, child support, food security, and related human services programs.
β’ Spearhead the design, execution, and management of thorough research and evaluation initiatives.
β’ Oversee and guide multidisciplinary research teams through mentoring.
β’ Offer strategic direction to both research and technical assistance teams.
β’ Define research agendas, methodologies, and evaluation frameworks.
β’ Recognize and pursue opportunities that align with ICFβs mission.
β’ Convert intricate research findings into practical insights for policymakers, practitioners, and stakeholders.
β’ Encourage innovation and excellence across multidisciplinary teams.
β’ Contribute to the field through thought leadership via publications, presentations, and broader engagement.
β’ Possess an advanced degree in political science, public policy, sociology, economics, or a related social science discipline (PhD preferred).
β’ Have over 15 years of experience in leading research, evaluation, and policy initiatives focused on economic mobility and family well-being.
β’ Exhibit a record of recognized peer-reviewed publications and thought leadership in economic mobility research.
β’ Show demonstrated expertise in collaborating with federal, state, or local human services programs.
β’ Proven capability to lead and influence within complex, fast-paced, and matrixed environments.
β’ Strong strategic thinking skills with the ability to balance overarching vision with meticulous execution.
β’ Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
β’ Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
β’ Documented history of peer-reviewed publications, technical writing, and presentations at the executive level.
β’ Capacity to drive business growth, establish partnerships, and navigate federal and state procurement processes.
β’ Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering high-quality work on schedule.
β’ Willingness to engage in flexible, on-call work arrangements (0β20 hours/week).
β’ Part-time, on-call work structure with flexible hours determined by project requirements (0β20 hours/week).
