Senior Economic Development Specialist

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Acts as a key leadership role within the economic development sector, guiding technical operations.

• Offers expert assistance to the DEMD Business Development Team, with an emphasis on energy and mineral resource initiatives.

• Analyzes grant budgets from tribal entities and provides suggestions for permissible funding amounts.

• Assesses grant proposals from Tribal organizations, evaluating the feasibility of proposed projects.

• Oversees assigned grants throughout their entire lifecycle.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Economics, Public Policy, or a related discipline.

• 6-8 years of progressively responsible experience in economic development, project finance, or investment/feasibility analysis related to energy, minerals, infrastructure, or industrial development.

• Extensive experience in leading feasibility studies, designing capital stacks, and developing grant strategies.

• Demonstrated experience in commercial negotiations, including collaboration with legal counsel and regulatory agencies.

• Supervisory experience in managing and mentoring analysts/consultants.
