Senior Downstream Marketing Manager – Knee Sports Medicine

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Direct the U.S. downstream commercialization strategy for the Knee Sports Medicine portfolio, translating upstream strategies into actionable market entry plans that enhance adoption, utilization, and revenue growth.

• Formulate and implement product launch and commercialization strategies, encompassing messaging, market segmentation, targeting, tactical preparedness, and post-launch performance evaluation.

• Develop and enhance value propositions, positioning, and claims support that effectively convey clinical, economic, and procedural advantages to surgeons, sales teams, and healthcare stakeholders.

• Collaborate closely with Sales and Medical Education to provide field enablement resources and training programs that bolster selling confidence, product knowledge, and customer engagement.

• Work in partnership with Upstream Marketing, R&D, Clinical, Regulatory, and Operations to ensure robust alignment between product strategy, evidence generation, supply readiness, and commercial execution.

• Propel market development initiatives that raise awareness, expedite procedure adoption, and reveal growth opportunities across targeted customer segments and regions.

• Oversee the creation of commercial collateral and customer-facing initiatives, including presentations, digital content, sales tools, promotional campaigns, and surgeon engagement programs.

• Maintain a comprehensive understanding of customer needs, market dynamics, and competitive activities to enhance messaging, pinpoint opportunities, and boost commercial effectiveness.

• Establish and monitor portfolio performance metrics to evaluate launch success, adoption trends, and business outcomes, leveraging insights to refine tactics and investment choices.

• Collaborate with key opinion leaders and field teams to collect feedback, validate messaging, and support advocacy, education, and demand-generation initiatives.

• Assist at major industry events, sales meetings, lab gatherings, and surgeon programs to represent the company, engage customers, and enhance market presence.

• Manage assigned downstream marketing budgets, priorities, and deliverables in accordance with business goals and growth strategies.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree required; MBA is preferred.

• Over 7 years of progressive experience in medical device marketing, product management, or downstream commercialization roles; sales experience may be included when combined with proven marketing experience.

• Proven experience in leading commercial launch planning, downstream execution, and portfolio growth initiatives within the medical device sector.

• Background in Orthopedics or Sports Medicine. Experience with knee, soft tissue fixation, or related surgical markets is preferred.

• Strong capability to translate product strategies and customer insights into compelling messaging, positioning, and commercial initiatives.

• Demonstrated success in leading and influencing cross-functional teams without direct authority.

• Experience collaborating with sales organizations to develop training, tools, and programs that enhance adoption and business performance.

• Exceptional analytical, organizational, and communication skills (both verbal and written).

• High degree of personal ownership, accountability, and strategic thinking.

• Creative problem-solving abilities with the capacity to navigate ambiguity in a fast-paced environment.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
