Senior DocOps Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Philippines.

📋 Description

• Oversee the design and upkeep of the documentation ecosystem (e.g., Confluence spaces, Git-based repositories, static site generators).

• Create a cohesive documentation structure and taxonomy that organizes content by user persona and lifecycle stage.

• Design standardized templates (Markdown/Asciidoc or similar) for user guides, architecture overviews, FAQs, and more, with a focus on reusability and consistency.

• Set up and manage CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab/GitHub Actions) to automate the publication of documentation.

• Develop and enforce processes for documentation contributions.

• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to collect documentation requirements and integrate feedback.

• Track usage trends and collect metrics/feedback on the effectiveness of documentation.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent hands-on experience in related fields.

• Demonstrated experience (5+ years) in technical documentation, technical writing, or content management within an IT or software setting.

• Strong grasp of DocOps or documentation-as-code methodologies, including version control (Git) and markup languages (Markdown, reStructuredText, etc.).

• Practical experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions) for process automation.

• Knowledge of scripting (Shell, Python, etc.) for automating tasks and integrating documentation workflows.

• Skilled in enterprise documentation platforms (such as Confluence or similar wiki/knowledge base systems) and static site documentation generators or publishing tools.

• Fundamental understanding of IT Service Management (ITSM) processes (e.g., change management, knowledge management in an ITIL context) and familiarity with cloud services or modern infrastructure to align documentation with environments (AWS, Azure, etc.).
