Senior Distributions Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Manage high-volume, complex batch processes independently, including quarterly auto rollovers, plan-term auto rollovers, monthly residual auto rollovers, quarterly loan defaults, involuntary cash-outs, and annual 5498 filings.

• Supervise the monthly 1099-R audit process for assigned custodians.

• Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to resolve stale-dated checks for designated paying agents.

• Review and clear outstanding cash items related to batch processing, ensuring accurate and timely reconciliation.

• Identify opportunities for batch-process improvements and work with the Process Owner to document requirements and support development initiatives.

• Create and customize Salesforce reports while monitoring daily dashboards for project status and operational performance.

• Manage and resolve cases in the batch processing queue in accordance with SLA standards.

• Act as the subject matter expert for Trade Agent processes.

• Research historical activities and collaborate with vendors and internal/external partners to resolve project-related issues.

• Communicate with partners via phone or email for follow-ups and issue resolution.

• Apply IRS regulations pertaining to retirement accounts and tax reporting.

• Execute additional duties and support special projects as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the retirement industry, with at least 5 years focused on processing distributions, loans, and related participant transactions.

• At least 3 years of experience utilizing Relius and Salesforce.

• Preferred experience in processing disbursements across multiple Relius paying agents.

• A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field is preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.

• Capability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

• Skill in researching, resolving, and communicating complex operational issues.

• Proficient in extracting, validating, reconciling, analyzing, and reporting data from Relius, Salesforce, and other business systems.

• High attention to detail, accuracy, and adherence to procedures.

• Ability to meet operational deadlines and processing cutoffs.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Proficient in collaborating with internal partners, leadership, clients, and external business partners.

• Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities, business needs, and process enhancements.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise sound judgment with sensitive client, participant, and plan information.

• Willingness to work overtime and varied schedules as required by business needs.

• Advanced proficiency in Excel, validated through a practical interview assessment.

• Ability to import and prepare data from text files, CSV files, and other external sources.

• Capability to clean, transform, and organize large datasets.

• Skill in matching and reconciling data across multiple reports and systems.

• Ability to identify, analyze, and report exception populations.

• Proficient in creating reporting and analytical outputs with minimal supervision.

• Ability to troubleshoot data discrepancies and perform root-cause analysis.

• Proficiency with Power Query, Pivot Tables, Conditional Formatting, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, IF/IFS, CONCAT/TEXTJOIN, LEN/LEFT/RIGHT/MID, COUNTIF/COUNTIFS, SUMIF/SUMIFS, sorting, filtering, data validation, and Text-to-Columns.

• Knowledge of general data analysis and reporting techniques.
